This weekend I’ve watched an amazing movie: The God Who Wasn’t There. It critically explores many aspects of Christianity, and in particular the myth of the existence of Jesus. It accomplishes all this in a manner that is both convincing as well as having many funny moments. Sadly, I doubt that this movie will manage to strike sense into any Christian fundamentalists, but any open minded person, religious or not, should do themselves a favor and see this movie....

Ever since Yahoo announced to buy the social bookmarking service del.icio.us about a week ago, it has been plagued with instability. More often than not, I get an error message when I try to access the website. At the time of this writing I am getting the following error: “del.icio.us is down for emergency maintenance. we’ll be back as soon possible." I realize that the announcement of the acquisition must be causing a lot of extra traffic for del....

Last Wednesday we almost lost the preschool that our two daughters go to. The preschool was subletting from a private elementary school that apparently wasn’t doing all that great. Now it turned out that the director of the elementary school hadn’t been paying rent for 16 months, so they were evicted on Wednesday - and along with them the preschool, even though they had been paying their rent to the elementary school every month....
